KJ-ing around. (an open letter to my 2b roomies + 1.)

YES, i am a self-proclaimed KJ. i am not really proud of it, but i am comfortable being one.

i do love spending me-time. i write weird things on my wall. i do have the knack to "forget" about my friends when i am bombarded by a lot of things. i am KJ because most of the time, i seclude myself from the rest of the world.

when my schedule's messed up, i get jittery and bratty and i bet you have seen that cartoon-ish look on my face. it's not hard to miss. and you know i am never good at hiding my feelings. ;p

i know that i AM not the most efficient arki student. (hello, eight years in college!) so forgive me, if i irritate you when my OC-moments come by. i promised myself that i will make this year my most productive year EVAR. i promised myself that i will make ME proud.

i am not leading that path alone, because i'd be happy to walk it with you.

to shayne: when you officially start working, paunang paghingi na ng paumanhin, should i not be my best me. =)

to kit: our youngest, and thursday-"bondmate" --- you know you can always ask me anything. ;p

to hazel: my first ever friend-turned-roomate --- though i still can't find that "common" thing between us, you know i can always be your ate. =j

to carla: my starbucks-buddy. oo na, ate mo narin ako. hahaha. =D

the bottomline is just this:
APOLOGIES --- when i am not always my BEST self, when i make you guys feel alienated.
(case in point: kakornihan sa "DECONSTRUCT 2". but i went there, riiight?)

you know i love you and i will always strive to (at the very least) be a good-enough roomate.

----

there should be pictures! but i should be working on my thesis. and 173. and 176. hahaha.

=D

25.4.10

because i'm old school. (and really vain, sometimes.)

i finally gained 'nuf courage to post a new facebook profile picture. it's the same picture i posted from my previous entry, the one showing my relatively new 'do. i don't really want to post it, as i don't want to get "embarassing" compliments. haha. but a procastinating mind's gotta do what it can do, riiiight?

i spent time tweaking it a bit--- blurring it a little, changing it to black and white. (the result is a huge old-school-looking, id-worthy, amateurish pic.)

i don't usually register well on cam, 'lest i am on my "angle". (sorry to burst the bubble guys, but there's an entire encyclopedia of tricks we follow to make us incredibly pretty for pictures. hahaha.)

yes, i am very much aware, that picture isn't my best shot... which is why i like it. =)

(is it just me or is my writing style migraine-worthy? forgive me folks. my writing depends on my mood. three fourths of my brain's all used up--- math54 formulas. *ahem*)

i am still not used to THE bangs. this summer hell (read: killer temp!) isn't helping me on my quest of "letting my hair down". i am just slowly internalizing the look. (the haircut's pretty expensive, you know. ;p)

i have to document my state of mind too. even though i know i probably won't be so proud of this particular entry.

it's just that... good things happen whenever i blog.

and again, a procastinating mind's gotta do what it can do.

my profile pictures thru time:

my very first fb profile picture.
shot taken january 2009.
cropped from a picture with my younger sister ba.

i loved how i "glowed" on this one.
this is a picture with my bestfriend icha, July 2009.

note my genuine-looking, super warm smile.
shot taken early this year.

if only i didn't put my hair up, this picture could've transcended all of my pictures to date.
haha. vain ego signing out. ;p

3.2.10

here's some joseph fiennes lovin'

what happens if and when everyone catches a glimpse of the future?
thanks to my roomate kit, another american tv series is included on my must-watch list:

the show had me the moment i saw joseph fiennes' face on my laptop screen. (er.. sorry, i was aiming for this one to at least sound intelligently written. haha.)

written and directed by the same guy whose blade adaptation i didn't like (he's the same david s. goyer right?), this tv series managed to make me forget about my csi new york devotion... again, thanks to joseph fiennes. =)

----

there are three things that needs to be checked out before i plummet into any tv series addiction:
(1) if it's highly recommended by someone i know / trust / love.
because i don't just follow tv shows out of nowhere. i need to be literally dragged into it. talked into it. swayed into it. i was enticed by someone really close to me to watch grey's anatomy (yes, that's still among my guilty-iest pleasure). and both kyle xy and the big bang theory were recommended by geek friends.

(2) if i believe the tv show will contribute to my well-being. i'll be "wasting" time over it, it might as well be all worth it. (i.e. if it has an amazing cast, an amazing story, an eye-candy.. haha!)

(3) if the characters are engaging enough.
you'd know a show's good enough for you after watching the pilot episode. the vampire diaries did not pass my number 1 and 2's.. (i decided to watch it on my own; i am not a vampire fanatic) but the characters were engaging enough, i am staying put. (hellooooo, have you seen the vampires in that show?) same goes for hannah montana. (yes, i am a fan of that show.) both glee and CSI:NY passed all these three "standards" btw. =)

---

jessica zafra sure wasn't lying when she said she was smitten by joseph fiennes. i knew i am. one look and i know i may have found the man i've been waiting for. this photo taken from this site. click on that link and you'd see the actors' personal history. =)

-----

by the way, not to compare the acting resume, but for some reason, joseph reminds me of freddie prinze jr.

i don't know. or maybe it's just me. haha.

23.1.10

yes please, hand me more cheese.

in less than four hours i'd be meeting up with my long lost grade school friend, Kristine Joy Dacanay. and believe me when i say she's my long lost friend. we haven't seen each other for probably about sixteen years.

so yes, i am super excited. i am never the one with a social life but meeting up with "real life" friends are always fun.

we've decided to meet by two in the afternoon at trinoma. i texted her this evening asking for her "coffee-shop-of-choice". she said i'm the boss and she'll be fine anywhere. hahaha. goodluck sa mapipili naming coffee shop bukas. we have sixteen years' worth of stories to share. =)

----

i just added celine valconcha as my new friend in facebook. she's that super sweet and uber charming "adopted" pamangkin of my late tito tim. i just finished viewing the pics from tito tim's wake.. and i miss him. still no tears, but i do miss him. i know he's in a better place now, and he won't be forgotten here.

celine with tito tim's "favorite things". grabbed this photo from her fb photo album, hehe. (hello celine!)

----

i think i haven't been the "best" roomate lately. i wish my roomates, keith and hazel still wants me around for the next months. we're all gearing up to face THE thesis life by june, so help us God. haha. i am still pining positively about the future. i still am. and i'd be more than happy to have my two arki roomates with me.

----

i had a relatively long and qualitative chat with my mareng sarah just before taking my "noodle break" tonight. we exchanged the usual "kumustas". nothing compares to this feeling.. knowing that real friends are just one text/chat/email/call away. =)

----

something great's boiling for february... ha-hum... cherry anne dela torre's getting what? hahaha. we're waiting. =)
